Shibuya Sky [Tokyo new attraction]

ShibuyaSky1 travel tip

We went to Shibuya Sky which opened the end of last year. When it opened it has long que and always crowded. So we were wafting for the right moment to visit, not to early or not to late. Then, Covid came.

But finally the moment has come. We received a virtual tour request and the itinerary included Shibuya Scramble Square which is a shopping and office building that has Shibuya Sky on the top. So we decided to go up and have a look of the observatory.

Shibuya Scramble Square

Shibuya Sky is the newest observation deck in Tokyo. There are many observation deck in Tokyo, Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Sky Tree, Tokyo Metropolitan building, and Tokyo City View. All of them are good. There are located in different parts of Tokyo and the heights are also varies.

We are always asked that “which one is the best?”. Well, it’s a bit difficult question. The views are all different. Since they are located different areas, the scenery you see is very different. However, I would say Shibuya sky is the best observatory to see the city view since it’s located in a city core.

You can purchase the tickets on the spot or online in advance. During the Covid time, they limit the number of the guests and you definitely need a time reservation. However, good thing is it’s not crowded now even on weekend.
